Van Buren State Park Beach

Does your family sometimes like to go somewhere more secluded? The Van Buren State Park Beach definitely is for you then.
I say secluded not because there are not people here every day in the summer, but more because it is off the beaten path.

The directions aren’t too bad (OI-196 exit 18, north 1/10 mile on M-140, then west 7/10 mile on 14th Ave, then south 1.4 miles on Blue Star Hwy> Take Ruggles Road entrance to Park) but, you won’t find a lot of shopping/restaurants or other things to do here.

But the park itself is wonderful, especially the beach. Over a mile of beautiful sandy beach, once again accessed by a wonderful walk down a Lake Michigan sand dune.

The beach is great for families (which is what you will find the most of here) mainly because of the great camping they enjoy right here at the park.

Our family really likes this beach, it is a great setting and makes for a great day trip no matter which South Haven Rental you may be staying in.
